Smart Chart
Smart Chart is Obside's interactive chart — with a twist: what you draw on it can become an automation. Draw trend lines, levels and indicators, then let your agents watch them for you. Open it from the Smart Chart section in the sidebar.
A full-featured chart
- Any asset from the catalog, on timeframes from 1 minute to daily and beyond.
- Chart types — candles, line, Heikin Ashi.
- Drawing tools — trend lines, horizontal/vertical lines, segments, rectangles, Fibonacci retracements, long/short position tools, annotations, brush.
- Indicators — add the available indicators (including your custom indicators) directly on the chart.
- Multiple saved charts — keep separate workspaces per asset or per idea.
- Followed accounts — pin the posts of X (Twitter) accounts and public Telegram channels directly on the chart's timeline, to see price action next to what they posted.
Import an indicator from code
Already have an indicator written for another platform? Bring it with you. In the Smart Chart toolbar, click Import from code (you also find it at the top of the Add indicator window), then paste the code or upload the file:

The assistant opens next to your chart, rebuilds the logic as your own custom indicator and plots it on the chart you are looking at. It then tells you what was reproduced as is and what had to be approximated. The indicator stays saved: it is listed in the Custom group of the indicator picker on every chart, and your agents can use it. On the mobile app, the conversation opens in the chat tab and the indicator then waits for you in that same Custom group.
The code is rebuilt as an Obside indicator, not run as is, so values can differ slightly from the original platform. Drawings (labels, boxes, tables), alerts, logic that repaints and data read from another timeframe may be approximated or left out. Files are limited to 50 KB of plain text.
From drawing to automation
The point of Smart Chart is that your chart work doesn't stay decorative:
- Automations — turn chart signals into actions: link a drawing or an indicator to a condition (crossing, touch, threshold, with tolerance and confirmation bars) and an action (alert or trading action).
- Agents linked to a drawing — agents can be created from a drawing's geometry, and you can see at a glance which agents watch which drawing.
- Chart context in the chat — add the chart (asset, drawings, indicators) to a conversation and ask Obside to build the corresponding agent.
If an agent was created from a drawing and you later modify that drawing, the agent is disabled to avoid acting on a geometry you've changed — relaunch it from the updated drawing.
