Notification channels
Overview
Obside can notify you on multiple channels when an agent triggers an alert or when an important activity occurs on your account. Three channels are available today:
- Telegram
- Push notifications (mobile app, browser or installed web app)
Channel configuration is done from Settings → Notifications. You can enable or disable each channel independently, and choose which ones to use for each agent.
Email notifications are enabled by default. You can configure several categories:
- Activity alerts — email alerts when one of your agents triggers or when there's important activity on your account.
- Weekly brief — a heads-up when your weekly portfolio brief is ready, after the market week closes.
- Getting-started tips (optional) — occasional emails to help you get set up.
- News and offers (optional) — product news, new features and occasional offers.
Telegram
To receive instant notifications on Telegram:
- From Settings → Notifications, click Connect next to Telegram.
- You're redirected to the Obside bot.
- Click Start in the bot to authorize message delivery.
Once connected, Telegram becomes one of the fastest and most reliable channels to receive your alerts in real time.
Important
If you see "Telegram cannot send you messages", open the conversation with the bot and send it a message to re-authorize delivery.
Push notifications
Push notifications reach your devices even when Obside is closed. You can enable them on several devices in parallel (phone, computer, tablet).
- On your phone, the simplest path is the Obside app for iPhone and Android: sign in and allow notifications when the app asks.
- In your browser: from Settings → Notifications, click Enable in the Push notifications section, then allow notifications in the browser's prompt.
- On iPhone/iPad without the app, first add Obside to your home screen to be able to receive push notifications from the web version.
From Settings → Notifications you can then manage the list of registered devices and send a test notification to verify everything works.
Choosing channels for an agent
When launching an agent that has the Notifications capability, Obside asks you to select at least one channel among Telegram, push notifications and email. You can enable several in parallel. You can also choose whether the agent notifies you about general activity, trade executions, or both.
See Agent capabilities to understand how the Notifications capability is enabled.
